Aligners are clear, transparent trays that fit tightly over the teeth. They are used to straighten teeth as an alternative to braces.

Rather than straighten your teeth via glued on metal attachements and wire, aligners use clear mouthpieces to regulate the movement. The mouthpieces exert a gentle and constant force to move teeth.

An initial scanning of the teeth is performed. This scan allows the aligner to be made in a patient specific manner. Each mouthpiece will be worn by the patient at all times except for when eating, drinking, and brushing and for a period of 1-2 weeks. Then the mouthpieces will be changed to a newer set.

Aligners have several advantages over traditional braces:

X-rays, Scans, Treatment plan
Your aligners will be delivered to you.

Instructions:

Aligners should be worn for 22 hours a day
They can be taken out of the mouth for eating, brushing and flossing.
Patients will need to wear a retainer after clear aligners.
