  • There’s always a straight forward complaint of a patient for Teeth Whitening treatment which is “My teeth are getting yellow and I want to turn them white.”
  • Dentist here at Vraj group of dental clinics, firstly examines the patient’s teeth according the amount of whitening they need.
  • Usually, the teeth whitening procedure takes about two dental sittings for the bleaching process.
  • When the procedure begins, the dentist first uses a lip retractor to retract the lip away during the procedure.
  • Then a gingival barrier is used between the gingiva and the teeth so that the bleaching agent wouldn’t irritate the gingiva.
  • Then a gel is applied on the tooth surface containing the bleaching agent and a high-power light is used to speed up the process.
  • The bleaching agent breaks down the stains on the teeth and slowly lighten them.
  • The session takes about 40-45 mins per session and depending upon the amount of shade lighting needed.

WHAT ARE THOSE BLEACHING PRODUCTS???

  • The main ingredient that works for teeth whitening and helps in as a bleaching agent are Hydrogen or Carbamide Peroxide.

  • The amount of the bleaching agent plays an important role in the teeth whitening procedure.
  • Around 35%-45% of Peroxide is used for the bleaching process.
  • Due to the advancement, we can even get the Peroxide outside the dental clinic for an in-house tooth whitening.
  • The shops can sell up to just 7% of hydrogen peroxide which won’t create that whitening effect but can work temporarily.
  • And the ideal proportion of peroxide (35%-45%) is available in a dental clinic through which the teeth whitening procedure happens.
  • It is still highly advisable for any patient wanting teeth whitening to consult a dentist to exactly know the amount of whitening needed.
